A1+ : Commander of a Shushi special battalion Zhirayr Sefilian was
released on June 9. As expected the discharge turned into a great
celebration.

“We shall join efforts to continue our struggle. We must do
our best to help release the detainees a minute ago,” said Sefilian.

Just in front of the “Vardashen” Penitentiary Institution
Sefilian’s proponents “granted” him a RoA citizenship and “huge
passport” of a RoA citizen. Doves were set to the air in front of the
penitentiary institution for the first time.
The employees of the penitentiary were also moved by the sight.

Afterwards, the presentees accompanied Sefilian to the Yerablur to meet
the hunger-strikers. They chanted national songs all the way through.

“Firstly, I want to thank all journalists who took our words
to people regardless of the preventive measures taken by the
authorities. Surely, I have a lot to say. But I shall share my concerns
and thoughts during an upcoming press conference,” Sefilian said to
A1+.

Sefilian was warmly welcomed in the Yereablur.

partially been realized. I think that the June 20 rally will have a
significant role in this respect,” Sefilian said and advised the
presentees not to fix an exact terms for victory.

“I don’t think June 20 will give a final solution to the
matter. The struggle may last for two or twenty days. Who knows! We are
determined to go to the end.”

“The devil has chained us and dried the source of the
country’s prosperity. We must get rid of the devil,” Sefilian said to
the children surrounding him.

“I don’t think a hunger-strike is the best way of a struggle.
But if there are people who are ready to take this extreme means to
make their voice reach home, I respect their decision. I don’t rule out
that one day I might join them,” said Sefilian.

“Sefilian hasn’t changed a bit. Nor did he sound different.
Even the detention has not affected his free-thinking. We are ready to
continue our hunger-strike further on,” said the hunger-strikers
cheered up by Sefilian’s visit.

Today Sefilian met invalid-veteran Arshavir Bozinian as well.
“We are really delighted to see our companion-in-arms beside us. I hope
that the other detainees will also be released. Let the authorities
fear as their days are counted in this country.”

Zhirayr Sefilian visited the tombs of Vazgen Sarkissian and General Andranik.

Asked whether he would meet Ter-Petrossian, Sefilian said, “I would like to if Ter-Petrossian finds time for the meeting.”

Reminder: Sefilian was under custody for 1.5 years. He was
charged with bearing an illegal weapon. The so-called “illegal weapon”
had been presented to Sefilian for his services to the country by
Commander of the NKR Defense Army Samvel Babayan.
